Top 5 Tips: How To Recruit A Ragnar Team

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I’d love to run a Ragnar, but I have NO idea how to find enough runners.”? Recruiting can be daunting, but we’re here to help! Here are our top 5 tips to recruiting your Ragnar dream team.

TIP # 1: ASK YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY

This one may seem obvious, but asking your friends and family is a place to start your search. If they said no at first check back with them after a few months… maybe they’ve changed their mind!

TIP # 2: ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO ASK THEIR FRIENDS… TO ASK THEIR FRIENDS

Once you’ve asked your friends and family it’s time to cast a wider net. This might get a little uncomfortable, but we promise that it’s worth it. Here’s a pro tip: Don’t limit your group to only runners. Anyone can run a Ragnar as long as they train. Invite anyone who is active, wants to be active or who is up for a challenge.

TIP # 3: JOIN A RUN CLUB OR LOCAL FUN RUN

If the first two steps didn’t help you lock down a full team the search continues! Find a local run club or fun run. There are also national retailers, like Fleet Feet, that host group runs frequently.  You can find a store near you by visiting the link in the description. These can be intimidating but the reality is, these groups are filled with people looking for the same thing as you.

TIP # 4: CHECK RACE FACEBOOK PAGE

Did you know Ragnar has a Facebook event page for each one of our events? This is a great place to search for a team to join or find the last few people  to join yours.

**We highly encourage you to do your research on vetting people before agreeing to jump in a van or camp overnight with them.**

There are also other groups (not sponsored or moderated by Ragnar) on Facebook where you can search for teammates.

TIP # 5: HARNESS THE POWER OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Blast it out! Share a story on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, the tiktok… the whole shabang!

We hope this helps and you are quickly on your way to having a full team for your next adventure!
