The Bourbon Chase has been a Kentucky tradition since 2009. With a little help…okay with a lot of help from the historic Kentucky Bourbon Trail, we have the privilege of having a course with incredible distilleries along the way at various exchanges. Let’s take a look at the distilleries along the 2020 course.

Jim Beam – Start Line

We begin our adventure at the start line at Jim Beam distillery in Clermont, KY. Spanning seven generations, Jim Beam has been a pillar of Kentucky for more than 200 years. Make sure to stop in because tours and tastings (yum!) are available. Come as a friend, leave as family.

Heaven Hill – Exchange 3

Located at Exchange 3, Heaven Hill Distillery in the heart of Historic Bardstown has been “Lifting America’s Spirit Since 1935” with brands such as Elijah Craig, Evan Williams, and of course Heaven Hill. Get an immersive American Whiskey experience at the visitor’s center tour.

Maker’s Mark – Exchange 6

Make your way to Maker’s Mark Distillery in Loretto, KY at Exchange 6 where one family’s quest to create bourbon changed the industry. Members of the Samuels family have even become Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame inductees! Stop by the Maker’s Mark Gift shop to hand dip your own bottle of Makers in their signature red wax!

Wilderness Trail – Exchange 11

From rock bandmates to whiskey makers, Wilderness Trail is all about bringing passion to whatever they do. You’ll get a chance to see it at Exchange 11. With a proprietary Infusion Mashing Process, their flavorful whiskey has a noticeable distinction you won’t want to miss sampling at this Danville, KY distillery.

Four Roses – Exchange 23

The next stop is Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg where they have been making bourbon with the same passion since 1888. Every journey begins with a single sip, and you can enjoy a tasting of 10 distinct bourbon recipes on their tour. Plus, Four Roses offers a commemorative bottle at their gift shop with no need for pre-orders.

Woodford Reserve – Exchange 29
At Exchange 29 you’ll find yourself just outside of Frankfort at Woodford Reserve Distillery, one of Kentucky’s oldest and smallest distilleries in the heart of bourbon country. Woodford offers a custom bottle. With a pre-order, you can have your own message engraved on the bottle. Click here, print out the order form and follow the directions on the form to pre-order.

Town Branch Distillery – Finish Line
